While there are similar products on the
market, The Talon is different in several important ways:
-
You may not have
noticed, but the cylinders of your Oilhead are offset. The
left cylinder is approximately 1.75 inches forward of the right
cylinder. To compensate for this, the bracket for the
right cylinder was designed to be 1.75 inches longer than the
one for the left cylinder. That way your two footpegs come
out to be the same distance in front of you for a more
comfortable ride. No other bracket on the market does
this.
-
Your
Talon
can accommodate many different inseam lengths. There are two
sizes,
The Eagle
and
The Hawk
which place your footpeg (or highway peg) out in
front of the cylinders. For those whose foot does not reach in
front of the cylinder (depending upon your leg length and the type
of bike that you ride) there is
The Falcon,
which allows your peg to be located over or under the cylinder,
approximately an inch behind the forward left valvecover bolt.
-
Unless otherwise
specified, your
Talon
comes in a silver powder coat, which matches
your engine. For those of you who would like them to be
chrome-plated, you can also order them unfinished so that you
can take them to a shop locally to have them chromed. This
gives you control over the way they turn out and saves money
over having us do it for you. Naturally, you could also
paint it to match your bike.
-
The Eagle,
The Hawk
and
The
Falcon
are low profile, which not only looks great, but allows easier
access to the oil filler cap on the RT when mounted on the top.
This means oil goes in your engine instead of all over it.
-
If you can't find a
Talon
to fit your leg length, we may be able to custom-design one for
an additional charge. All you will need to do is tell us how long
you need it to be. After all, you're the customer. You should
have it the way that you want it, not the way someone else wants
to make it.
If you're convinced
and ready to order your
Talon brackets just

right fit and then click on

wherever you see it.
