Secure the Perch in a vise (wood blocks will
protect the bracket from scratches) or install it on your bike to
hold it steady. If you install it on your bike, you should
place a cloth under it to catch the shavings. |
Position your unit's cradle on the mounting
surface of the Perch so that the cradle is flush with the bottom
edge. Mark the location for the holes. I am using a scribe
to scratch the marks in this picture. |

|
Punching the center of your hole marks will
prevent the drill bit from moving while you drill. |
Carefully drill the holes where marked. I
am using a 5/32 drill bit in this picture. |

 |
|
Attach your unit's cradle to the Perch. |
Remove the two screws located on the bottom of
your glare shield above your tach and speedometer. |
|

 |
|
Install the Perch with the cradle attached
using the two screws that were removed earlier. |
Now for the fun part, step back and admire your
handiwork on a job well done! |
|
Note: After your unit is installed on your bike, it is
possible to adjust the viewing angle slightly by very carefully
bending it up or down as desired. This may help in viewing
the unit's display by reducing glare and is a matter of individual
preference and the height of the rider. |
